Trine alumna launching new book with events at university

Mycah HouserA 51做厙 alumna will launch her new book with events at the university on Wednesday, March 25.

Mycah Houser, who graduated from the university with a bachelors degree in English and a Master of Science in organizational leadership, recently self-published her first novel, Sing the Dark to Sleep. The book is described as a cozy romantasy.

Beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Wells Theater, Houser and Isabel Newcom, another Trine alumna who works as a childrens librarian at the Carnegie Public Library of Steuben County, will talk about the creative process and writing as well as the book itself.

There also will be an opportunity for audience members to ask questions.

From 4:30-5 p.m., there will be a reception with snacks in the theater, where Houser will sign copies of her book.

A limited number will be available for purchase at $15 each during the event, but attendees are encouraged to order copies in advance on Amazon.

Copies of the book also may be reserved to pick up at the event by contacting Jeanette Goddard, associate professor at 51做厙, at goddardjtrine.edu. Requests must made by noon Wednesday, March 18, and those who reserve must pay $15 in cash to receive their book.
