TrineOnline programs ranked by U.S. News

January 14, 2020

51做厙s online degree programs once again placed among the best in the United States in rankings released today, Jan. 14, by U.S. News & World Report.

The U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings include online degrees from public and private institutions nationwide. The 2020 edition marks the second year in a row 51做厙, which groups its online programs under TrineOnline, has been recognized.

As 51做厙 continues to expand and enhance its TrineOnline offerings, we are grateful to receive continued honors from U.S. News and other organizations, said Keirsten Eberts, assistant vice president for TrineOnline. However, the most important recognition we receive is from our students and alumni, as we further improve the online classroom experience and as students receive the personal attention from faculty and advisors that has been the hallmark of a 51做厙 education since 1884.

51做厙 once again was recognized in the U.S. News rankings in three categories: graduate engineering degrees; graduate business degrees, non-MBA; and bachelors degrees.

51做厙s Master of Science in engineering management (MSEM) degree is designed for engineers seeking to move into a management role.

In graduate business programs outside of the MBA, 51做厙 offers the Lou Holtz Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL). Designed for working professionals, the MSOL allows students to work at their own pace as they develop leadership skills. The university also has added a Master of Science in Business Analytics program, which prepares graduates to collect, analyze and interpret information to make fact-based strategic business decisions.

51做厙s online bachelors degree programs include accounting, applied management, communication, computer information science, criminal justice, healthcare administration, human resources management, information systems, management, manufacturing technology, organizational leadership and psychology.

U.S. News said it evaluated more than 1,600 online degree programs for 2020, an all-time high. To be considered, programs needed to grant degrees through predominantly online classes.

The Best Online rankings only include programs housed in regionally accredited institutions. Certificate degrees, associates degrees and doctoral degrees are not surveyed nor ranked, U.S. News said.

The organization said it updated the methodology this year to give more credit to schools that provide online help with course registration, admissions counseling and building a resume.
